beats of joy .........
u may wonder why i named this blog as beats of joy...
well just bcos of the pure fun i derive from drumming... for all you music buffs there, this blog will also carry videos of gr8 drummers,

This is my first blog of my first blog
Hmmm. Its been sometime now and there are various topics that are breezing through my mind… on what shall I write…shall I write about the incidents which were instrumental in me being what I am today… or abou my favourite movies… or recipies.. or the AOL Experience…. What to do….
I start with a prayer… ganesha – lead well this army of words…
The wonders of having a GURU in life
Finally I have converged on one thing that I feel would be the best opener to this blog… the wonders of having a guru in life… I still remember …about five years ago…a sunda afternoon… there used to be these midday interviews with famous ppl.. that day it was a bearded man called Sri Sri Ravishankar…DD had mis-spelt his name as Sri Sri Sri Ravishankar and the interview started on a hilarious note with the gues (my future guru) declaring that it was already so difficult to manage with 2 Sri’s and DD had bestowed another one on him……J
Also , there seemed to be some problem in the camera angles and for most of the interview only the face of the guest was closed up on the screen…. Well the screen was lterally beaming wih the smile of the man.. the same evening, my mom went and signed u for the next AOL course.
Having an extremely spiritual father has its advantages …and also its disadvantages… being a strong yengar at the same time a devout Maharishi’s TM pracionr, dad was always making fun of aol…..just for the heck of it , I used to join him too
Three years later..one Monday evening… mom wanted me to accompany her to one “satsang” where some senior teacher had come.. I went as an escort to one of the most memorable evenings in my life……..J
There was this cute couple who had just come to the satsang.the man had got a gitar and I was sitting near the door, so he asked me to hold te guitar wile he relocked the case and put it aside and ten gave me a wink and a huge smile…which left me gaping… as my eyes followed him I saw the glimpse of Si Sri on the photograph and then I don not know what happened… this man (now one of the 4 men whose bidding I do without even batting an eyelid – d other 4 r dad,bau,and dinuda- u’ll know abt them later J) started singing… and for whatsoever reason- I STARTED CRYING…the lady among this couple saw tis ad came and gave me a tight hug after the satsang….she remains one of the 3 most influential women in my life and will continue to be..
Well after that I found out that this person was a teachr of the AOL basic course and there began the journey…. From the head to the heart literally…
(well its getting really emotional now as I relive those days… will write about the AOL and Yes!+ courses sometime later)
