Satsang at shreyas place – august 31 2008

The last day of the month ended on a happy, hilarious, sumptuous, and soul-stirring note... here’s how….
Happy – d occasion was shreya’s (my sister who is also a yes+ teacher) birthday Satsang… she has been one new addition to the most influential women in my life… and has been responsible for how responsible I am now….

Hilarious - all the yes+ Satsang are full of hilarity…. And today was no different… (Maybe will write a blog on yes+ hilarious heroes later)

Soul stirring: this is something that has never happened to me in satsangs before… for those of you who do not know me; I play the dholak at satsangs…. And of late have started singing… so here was shreya who was pestering me to sing this song (Naiharvaa of kabir… hear it from Vikram Bhaiya / Vivek anna for experiencing an emotional volcano of joy….my version is very infinitesimal b4 them)… so actually thoughts were reeling in… should I sing… I have sung this b4 at satsangs n my home… not outside… there were so many new people… what will they think… then I saw the photo of guruji kept there. The smile said it all….the moment I told shreya that I will sing it for her; I could see the smile on her face grow by leaps and bounds…. And as I started singing and closed my eyes… I felt the same as I have felt b4 wile at satsangs at VM (Visalakshi mantap) with guruji on the dias… I felt HE was there,, smiling and listening and it was just magic afterwards… even one of the best singers here, arun told me that the song was so fresh and raw that it just touched them all …. Well all just happens… this taught me one thing today… if the intention of an activity is to bring happiness then even if the activity itself is a weakness of te person, it will flip over as a strength…

Today morning…. Around 5:45 am dad called me out of d house to watch this beauty and I started my day in a very colorful manner.
